Y/o

The 25th has arrived and I was summoned once again for a new status update!

Not a lot happened this time, but it will be fun to talk about!

Let's begin.

WEBSITE UPDATES

First and mostly the only thing changed this time around: Phoenix Club!

A new part has been writen, go read it! It took me a longer time than usual to do this one!

Amazing art made by Miya, they had this to say about it: "among us"

I wanted to inject a more fun atmosphere into the setting, and this is the direction I want to take it forward. My editor has been helping me a lot with the series too! Go check their website by clicking here!

Talking about direction, I decided to take the suggestion of a good friend of mine, Miya! Their suggestion was to separate it into parts instead of chapters, because the text felt too small to be a full chapter, and to be honest… I agree lol. So it was done, I think chapter 1 will have a total of 6 parts before it's finished, so look forward to it!

Unrelated doodle of Pudd getting her head stuck in a pail.

ONE-SHOT OF THE DAY

Liv

One-shot made by Kariki Hajime.

Synopsis: Humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a zombie outbreak. In this world we follow the story of Aoki, a young man accustomed to this world, meeting a zombie girl that doesn't attack him, instead she knows his name?

Art and presentation: This one shot has a great art style, one that uses lighting to its fullest power! Casting the scene in heavy light for the more emotional or thoughtful moments and having harsh blacks for the more intense moments. One thing I noticed is how different the zombie girl we meet is drawn compared to the other zombies, intentional or not, this speaks a lot of how different she is to the rest.

Why you should read it: It's a tragic story, the world is in shambles and the human species was cursed for eternity. But yet, the feeling for that special someone, the love we feel for them, the urge to protect them, this feeling can still break us from the eternal curse. To Liv is to feel love after all.

That's why you should read it!

Score: 5/5! This is a great story that I'm glad was told.

LIFE UPDATES

For life updates, we have Pudding getting sick and not the cool type!

I got sick and was forced to recover for a few days, making me unable to do anything exciting for those few days. At the moment I'm feeling 90% healthy so you must not worry dear reader, I'm a fighter and no sickness will take me down!

Aside from that, I played a new game called Irisu Syndrome. A 4th wall breaking horror/ puzzle game, in fact, one of the founding fathers of this genre of games! I saw it in a youtube recommendation and decided to check it out. The game was very old but it was still fun! The puzzle part of the game was a little hard to figure out, but once I did, it quickly became addictive. The horror aspect definitely was not my thing, it had some cool things but I didn't really find it too scary.

For being one of the first games of this genre, I thought it was pretty good, I recommend it!

Out tabbing from the game gave this really spooky image and I was spooked, as one would.

For the other and last thing for today (I told you I didn't do much this time!):

I completed everything related to Sumeru in Genshin Impact!

From the lushfull forests to the dry deserts and dunes, I have collected (almost) all chests and every dendroculus!

My 3+ month old journey has arrived at its destination. What did I think about it? I thought it was great! Sumeru felt so different from all the other regions, exploring underground cave systems, fighting wild life, the dendro element. Everything made it a very refreshing experience! I just wished the update with the underground map would have arrived earlier, it's such a life savior.

During the collection of the last few chests, I began to think of how long the journey was to reach this point. While thinking, I began to listen to a particular song from one of the areas in Sumeru. The song for the Vourukasha Oasis: Maidens of Sanctity.

The song mentioned.

Listening to this beautiful, peaceful and almost ethereal track, made me reminisce about my time with this game. The hours spent gathering chests, solving puzzles, climbing mountains only to realize the loot was underground… everything. The thought of me missing a place such as this never really crossed my mind until now…

It's time for me to say goodbye to Sumeru and move on to Fontaine… but I'll miss it. Thank you Hoyoverse for making such a wonderful place for us to explore.

Goodbye Land of Knowledge and thank you for everything.

Apologies for talking for so long about it, this has been in my heart and mind for some time and I felt the need to throw it to the world after hearing that song.

I'll still try to make part 5 of Phoenix Club this month, don't worry!

The song of the day is Sanctuary made by DM DOKURO, another ethereal like song that I have grown attached to, it helped me to feel better and much more at peace while I was sick. Go listen to it!

15/08/2023

Heya!

The 15th has already arrived! Does anyone else feel that this month is going a bit too fast? I do!

Let's begin!

WEBSITE UPDATES

A lot of minor things have been done!

Starting off with, a lot of images for the Random Moe Image for Home (R.M.I.H.)! 26 images in total! I even got lost mid way through and had to check every single image again lol.

I updated the Game Shelf page with a new game and updated the Bloons Tower Defense 6 with the new update that was released semi-recently.

And per usual, a few more doodles on the art page. Including this one:

Pudd doll is not haunted. (Probably)

Talking about dolls, I'm going to introduce a new segment to the status update! Which it is:

ONE-SHOT OF THE DAY

It's time for the one-shot of the day!

"How does this segment work?" I hear you ask dear reader.

In this segment I'll recommend you a One-shot by giving a short synopsis of the story, talk about the art and presentation, about why you should read it and finally give a rating from 1 to 5! I want to give a spotlight to One-shots because I really love these self-contained one-off stories that don't get talked about as much as they should. These people deserve more attention!

So, for the very first one-shot ever we have:

Kataude no Amy

One-armed Amy

One-shot made by Shun Akagi.

Synopsis: The story follows Amy, a doll that was given life by the great care of her toymaker, who is her father and loves her a lot. One day, Amy is tasked with delivering a letter to a very important person in her father's life. Knowing the dangerous long journey ahead, she goes out to seek the most important person in father's life.

Art and presentation: This one-shot is 35 pages long and it has beautiful art! Pages 17 and 32 are outstanding and absolutely gorgeous! The backgrounds are always very detailed and done with a lot of care. Character designs are great, they convey their characters just by looks alone.

Why you should read it: It's an amazing and tearsome story. The one shot has a powerful message told through the journey of Amy: A message about the love of a family. It doesn't matter if you are different, you will be cared for and loved all the same. Even when we can't see them again, "our hearts will be connected.".

That's why you should read it!

Score: 5/5! An absolute recommend from me!

LIFE UPDATES

The first thing I did after the last status update was: complete the Secret Summer Paradise event from Genshin Impact. I wanted to fully complete it due to being such a different experience from the base game. The place introduced for a limited time in this event was such a fantastical, funny, childish and silly world that I couldn't help but smile all the way through the rides.

It's a shame it has to go, I hope it is brought back one day with new things to see!

One last picture before it fades away.

On the topic of gacha, I finally spent my 170+ rolls I saved up until now in Honkai: Star Rail. The results were… very comical to say the least! I transformed into a video you can watch it right here:

Was it fun and worth it? Yea, I didn't get my E6 Luka but everything was so funny to experience.

I even made Someone mad because of my luck with 3 Kafkas. ehe~☆

The new game I played recently is an early access game called Escape the Backrooms. I played with a few friends and it was a super fun horror game! It's what I always wanted from a Backrooms video game and the multiplayer is a lot of fun. It's very cheap on Steam so go play it if you can.

I continued my journey with void terrarium 2 but I'll not say anything about it still. I want to finish the game before I can talk about it more, but everything so far is really good!

Being surrounded by really fast robots is never good.

And last but not least, I have been reading a lot in my free time! A lot of manga and one-shots, it's part of the reason why a new segment was introduced today! I plan to share a new one-shot every status update, so look forward to it!

Other highlights from my journey reading are:

Friends on Mondays, an amazing coming of age story told with such a beautiful art style and really well written characters that left me teary at the end.

The Ice Guy and the Cool Girl, a wholesome fun manga about the romance between Himuro, a descendant of a Yuki Onna and Fuyutsuki, a calm, laid-back person. It's very wholesome seeing these 2 interact with one another!

And that's it for the status update! Phoenix club chapter 4 and 5 will happen this month still. Don't worry, here in the Pudding Head Quarters, we work a little slower than most.

The song of the day is Interstellar Journey a song forever stuck in my head because of Honkai: Star Rail. I can't wait to meet the future head-on of this game! Now, trailblazers let's keep our credos in mind!

05/08/2023

Bonjour to you!

Today is a new 5th day and it means a new status post.

It will be smaller than the last one but it's still chunky! Let's begin.

WEBSITE UPDATES

As I said: "I'm gonna make Phoenix Club chapter 3 until the end of the month." (Don't need to look it up, trust me.), I released it on the 31st! I think it ended up as a very sweet chapter, things are still slow but soon I'll get to introduce one of the main cast that I can't wait to write! For the reason why it took this long to write is… well… complicated.

My mind sometimes convinces me that I should give up on my artistic adventures, I call it " The Remains of the Time I was Aimless". But I'll not yield to them anymore, so I'll fight these demons and prevail over them! Pudding will keep fighting like a knight!

Seiko as the Phoenix Quest Mystic Knight.

Yes, this is inspired by the box art for Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest! It was my first RPG I ever played!

A few improvements have been made to the Phoenix Club pages as well, putting them up to the new standards!

New up is the completion of the Game Shelf page! Yes, that massive page is complete! Click here to see it!

I spent multiple afternoons finishing it up and I think it's good, all the games I played since 2021 are there. This made me realize I played way more games than I thought I did lol.

Pudd putting a recently played game in the shelf.

To finish it off, I posted a new pixel art on the art page and made a few optimizations all over the place. All minor fluff, backgroundstuff but still appreciated!

LIFE UPDATES

Quite a lot here soooooooo let's start with the events of the 25th!

The Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach DLC: Ruin. I have been anticipating this release for a few months and now that I got and played through it, what do I think of it?

Pretty good! My favorite part of the original was the endoskeleton part, it was super dark, you could hear the endos walking around while you tried to find your way with a tiny flashlight, it was super scary! I'm glad to say they got that atmosphere all over the game.

There's something so frightening and unique about seeing the Pizzaplex, this place full of light and life, in this state of destruction and Ruin. It's a scary game and the introduction of the new antagonist of the series is super refreshing!

This part really spooked me when I first experienced.

Moving from spookles to sillies we got:

Bloons Tower Defense 6 Gaming! I have been on a grind of obtaining all the medals in the game's maps! There's 69 maps currently in the game and 15 medals in each, it's a lot but I'm already over 60% done!

All of the easy difficulty medals, Pudding the "Beginner Master".

As a side objective, I tried to get to the highest possible round I can and so managed to get all the way to round 350!

3 fps gameplay of Bloons late game.

Me and Miya had a 1v1 in the game Rivals of Aether! And it went as well as you expect, I was bodied by them and lost most matches lol. We played with many mods and it was pretty fun.

This stage had a REALLY loud song and it was TERRIBLE.

Oh yeah! About the Bomberman Journey, I'm finally finished with it!

I finished Super Bomberman 5 and I got to say THAT GOOD ROUTE FINAL BOSS IS B[REDACTED]!

HE WAS FAST, HE HAD THE SMARTEST AI EVER AND LOSING TO HIM MEANT DOING ALL 3 PHASES OVER AGAIN! I spent an hour and a half to beat him, thankfully the game gave me a 1-up every time I got to the final phase.

The entire journey was a fun one and made me realize these games have a lot of flaws lmao.

Planet Bomber lives in peace once again.

From the end comes a new start, so I began to play a new sequel: void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium 2! It improves in all aspects of the previous one and I find really cool the new things it brings to the table. But I won't discuss any further because a friend that is reading this right now will be upset with spoilers. Next time I'll not hold myself back so you better play the game!

A little home I made for the last human alive.

To finish it off, we got the 2 gacha games from Hoyoverse.

I played a bit of Genshin Impact, going through the summer event where you explore a magical and fun place and to be honest, it's very fun! I like how everything is comical and plays for laughs, even the creatures inside this world are funny! Very wholesome place to explore.

"I wonder what I should do."

In Honkai: Star Rail, I continued the grind to maximize my characters and I would like to share a habit I created with this game!

This game has a system to grind for important materials called "Echo fo War". It's basically a way to replay the big bosses of the game for goodies. My habit is that I play them all with fast-forward and auto off. Why? Well, Hoyoverse did such a great job with music and atmosphere, I can't help but to appreciate it over and over again. It's so good! It's the thing that made me stick with this game.

This fight never gets old.

I have been saving all my gacha tickets for the next banner to get Luka. I have to guarantee him with over 160 tickets! I know this may sound insane but here's the thing, I have been REALLY unlucky in this game, I basically got only abundance stuff and no 5 stars. I have Bailu's light cone and a Natacha E4 for crying out loud, so I have to take drastic measures to guarantee my chances to get this 4 star character.

I'm sure with this much I can get him.

And that's it!

For the future in this month, expect chapter 4 and 5 for Phoenix Club and that's it. According to my expectations of my schedule, I'll be very busy with real life stuff and won't be able to update the website much. That's I think at least, who knows maybe I'll be wrong!

The song chosen today is Wild Fire from Honkai: Star Rail a song that never gets old when fighting the boss.
